We are partnering with a well-established commercial general contractor specializing in high-end tenant improvement and ground-up construction projects across the western half of the United States.Their portfolio includes:
Luxury retail brands Big box retail chains Fuel stations & convenience stores Restaurants Mixed-use developments Industrial warehouse facilities This is an excellent opportunity for a Superintendent who enjoys working on diverse, fast-paced commercial projects while being part of a company that values career growth, mentorship, and long-term development . Position Overview The Traveling Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who: Thrives in a travel-based construction environment Has strong field leadership experience Wants to continue growing within a supportive and collaborative company culture Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day on-site construction operations across multiple commercial project types Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and field personnel Ensure projects remain on schedule and within quality standards Maintain job site safety and enforce OSHA compliance Review plans, specifications, and construction documents Conduct site meetings and communicate progress updates with project stakeholders Identify and proactively resolve field issues and scheduling conflicts Maintain detailed daily reports and project documentation Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts Qualifications Required Experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects Background in: Tenant improvements (TI) Ground-up construction Retail and/or commercial projects Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the western U.S. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling Ability to lead subcontractors and maintain strong job site communication Preferred Experience with luxury retail, restaurants, fuel stations, or industrial projects OSHA certification Proficiency with construction management software and project scheduling tools What We're Looking For Strong leadership and communication skills Organized and detail-oriented mindset Ability to thrive in fast-paced project environments Team-oriented professional with a strong work ethic Someone looking for long-term career growth and stability Why Join This Team Diverse and high-profile project portfolio Strong pipeline of work across multiple sectors Supportive leadership and collaborative culture Opportunity for career advancement and professional growth Exposure to nationally recognized retail and commercial brands Work Environment Travel is required and expected Projects located throughout the western half of the United States Dynamic, hands-on construction environmentSimilar remote jobs
