About Us King's Tree Service is a growing tree care company serving the greater Portland area. We pride ourselves on high quality work, safety, and excellent customer service. Our crew works as a team to complete professional pruning, removals, and technical jobs while maintaining a strong safety culture. We are currently looking for a highly experienced Tree Climber who is confident in technical removals, pruning, and working efficiently with a crew. Responsibilities Perform tree climbing for removals and pruning operations Safely rig and lower limbs and wood using proper rigging techniques Assess trees and plan safe climbing strategies Communicate clearly with the ground crew during operations Operate chainsaws and climbing equipment safely and efficiently Follow ANSI safety standards and company safety procedures Maintain and inspect climbing gear and equipment Assist with cleanup and job completion when needed Requirements Minimum 5 years professional climbing experience Proficiency in modern climbing systems (SRT/DRT preferred) Strong rigging knowledge and experience with technical removals Ability to safely operate chainsaws in the tree Valid driver's license with a clean Driving Record Strong work ethic and team mentality Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs Preferred Qualifications Experience operating mini skids, chippers, and stump grinders Ability to tow trailers What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent full-time work Supportive team environment Opportunities for growth and advancement Well-maintained equipment If you are an experienced climber who takes pride in doing quality work and working safely, we'd love to hear from you.
