Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Being on time
- Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials to and from job sites
- Load and unload materials using the dump truck's hydraulic bed (Gravel, Sand and Asphalt)
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the dump truck
- Inspect the dump truck before and after each shift to ensure it is in good working condition
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a clean and organized dump truck, both inside and out
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while on the job site
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications:
- Required Class B CDL with a clean driving record
- Previous experience operating a dump truck or similar heavy equipment is preferred
- Knowledge of paving, backhoe operation, bulldozing, horizontal drilling, loader operation, water truck operation, tanker operation, and other heavy equipment operations is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on the dump truck is desired
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and focus on safety
- Excellent communication skills
