Job Description
Job Brief :
To deliver merchandise to customers in a manner that will optimize the cooperative's market share and savings, improve the cooperative's efficiency, help achieve the cooperative's mission and goals, and result in outstanding customer service. Drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Establish and achieve service goals with Shop Manager and Director of Transportation. 2. Deliver product to and pick up product from specified locations. 3. Verify all product is loaded and delivered. 4. Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations. 5. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. 6. Does daily pre trip inspections and Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. Report any unsafe or broken equipment to your supervisor. 7. Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs. 8. Informs supervisor of potential problems or potential new business opportunities directly or indirectly related to StateLine Coop. 9. Observe and report any unusual activity, problems, and farmers' complaints to your supervisor. 10. Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations 11. Follow all company and regulatory agency safety policies. 12. Performing other duties as assignedProfessionalism :
1. Always conduct yourself in a professional manner. 2. Maintain a clean and positive appearance with both yourself and SLC equipment and facilities. 3. Attending schools and trainings pertaining to agronomy to maintain and build expertise as requested. 4. Perform duties in an efficient and time-saving manner. 5. Maintain communication with Location personnel as to your whereabouts or how you can be reached at all times during "normal" business hours.Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree is preferred One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent experience combination of education and experience. Maintain a current Class A CDL license. Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components. A problem-solving ability. Very good communication skills.Physical Requirements:
