Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers, and will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently. This role requires a commitment to following safety regulations and maintaining high standards of service while on the road. Duties Operate and drive a tractor-trailer or tanker truck to deliver freight to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, utilizing a forklift when necessary. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while adhering to traffic regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Handle freight with care to prevent damage during transit. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver, particularly with route driving. Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Ability to operate refrigerated trailers and understand temperature control for perishable goods. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to truck driving and freight transport. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy.
