Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, dry vans to deliver freight across multiple routes. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of yourself and others on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Assist with route planning to optimize efficiency while adhering to delivery deadlines and safety standards. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery, including route driving and load & unload operations. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and familiarity with various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dry vans. Ability to handle specialized equipment like forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo. Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations and compliance standards. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is highly valued. Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or using mechanical aids; comfort working in different weather conditions.
