Truck Driver - FUEL

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of trucks and trailers. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service. Products handled will be fuel, lubricants, coolants and more. Routes will be to farmers, genearal consumers, manufacturing customers, commercial customers, home heating oil and more. Responsibilities Operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers and tankers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage. Follow designated routes for delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with team members. Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules while ensuring safety on the road. Do preventative maintenance on our trucks when due. This includes but is not limited to changing oil, greasing, checking fluid levels, cleaning trucks as needed. If something needs fixed it needs to be addressed. Delivering tanks, picking up tanks, changing hoses, nozzles and keeping a general eye on equipment in the field when making deliveries. Cleaning tanks as needed, painting tanks and keeping them in good working order. Working on pumps that are in need of repair, repairing nozzles and other equipment. General upkeep of our facilities. This may include mowing lawn, gathering trash and putting in dumpster, taking inventories, putting tools away, pond sampling and other things that may need addressed. Skills Proficiency in driving manual transmission and automative transmission vehicles. Experience with tankers, air brakes and hazmat endorsements are needed. Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols. Ability to operate forklifts and other loading/unloading equipment as needed. Familiarity with route driving techniques to optimize delivery efficiency. Experience as a delivery driver with a focus on customer service excellence. Knowledge of freight handling procedures including loading and unloading practices.
