Job Description

Transystems is seeking a hands-on, people-focused Trucking Project Manager to lead our Drayton, North Dakota operation. This is a leadership role for someone who understands trucking, transportation, agriculture, heavy equipment, or field operations and knows how to keep people, equipment, and production moving in the right direction. Our Project Managers are active leaders in the field and in the office. They work closely with drivers, loader operators, technicians, customers, and division leadership to support safe, efficient, and profitable operations. Why Join Transystems? Salaried compensation based on experience Medical insurance Dental insurance 401(k) retirement plan Vacation pay Holiday pay A hands-on leadership role with direct impact on safety, staffing, employee performance, customer service, and project success What You'll Do As the Trucking Project Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the Drayton project. You will help manage employees, coordinate work, support customer needs, and keep the project running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Lead, coach, and support drivers, loader operators, supervisors, and project employees Help create a safe, respectful, and productive work environment Coordinate schedules, routes, loading sites, and project priorities Communicate regularly with employees, customers, and division leadership Monitor safety, productivity, employee performance, and project results Support recruiting, interviewing, training, and employee retention Conduct employee reviews, safety reviews, check rides, and performance evaluations Solve problems, address concerns, and help the team stay on track Uphold company policies, safety expectations, and operating procedures
What We're Looking For:
The right candidate is organized, confident, and comfortable leading people in a busy operational environment. This person should be able to communicate clearly, make decisions, follow through, and build trust with both employees and customers. Strong candidates may have experience in: Trucking or transportation operations Agriculture or seasonal hauling Heavy equipment or field operations Employee supervision or team leadership Scheduling, logistics, dispatching, or project coordination Safety, training, recruiting, or employee development Requirements Must possess or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL Clean driving record required Basic computer skills required Must be comfortable working in both field and office environments Must be willing to work variable hours during busy seasons Some travel may be required Apply Today This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to lead a team, stay close to the operation, and build a long-term career in trucking and agricultural transportation.
