Our company operates a primary facility and truss plant in Winder, along with a location in Ball Ground, supporting a diverse range of construction projects across the region. Job Summary The Truss Lead Builder is responsible for leading a crew in the assembly and production of wood roof and floor trusses according to engineered specifications, production schedules, and safety standards. This position oversees daily workflow, ensures quality control, trains team members, and maintains efficient production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Duties Lead and supervise truss builders and production team members on the assembly line. Read and interpret engineered truss drawings, layouts, and production paperwork. Ensure trusses are assembled accurately to specifications and company quality standards. Coordinate workflow to meet production goals and deadlines. Train new employees on truss building techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures. Monitor material usage and report shortages or damaged materials. Inspect completed trusses for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Operate and oversee the use of saws, presses, nail guns, forklifts, and other production equipment. Communicate with supervisors, designers, and other departments to resolve production issues. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Skills High school diploma or GED preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods. Comfortable working in varying temperatures and industrial conditions. Work Schedule Full-time position Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production demands. Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
