 26-27 JOB SUMMARY Oversees the administration and operational execution of local and state assessments, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely completion across the district while managing a team responsible for assessment logistics and coordination.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
List most important duties first 1. Leads planning and execution of local and state assessment administration to ensure compliance with state and district requirements 2. Supervises and develops a team of 4 staff responsible for assessment logistics, materials, and coordination 3. Monitors assessment processes and timelines to ensure accurate and timely completion of testing activities
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED 4.
Collaborates with campuses and departments to provide guidance and resolve assessment-related issues 5. Ensures adherence to testing security protocols and compliance standards; investigates and resolves irregularities 6. Analyzes assessment operations data to improve processes and support continuous improvement
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 3-5 years experience in assessment administration, education operations, or related
SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Software Oracle SAP Microsoft Office
Other:
Assessment systems, compliance regulations, data tracking Equipment Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Level 3-Manages. Accomplishes the majority of work objectives through the management of direct reports. Provides day-to-day directions to staff; may become directly involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring application of policies and procedures. Receives assignments in the form of objectives, with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides input to hiring, performance and budget.
WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
Participates in a group plan and/or budget development.
BUDGET AUTHORITY
Decisions are made with greater freedom and discretion, including recommendations that are subject to approval on matters that may affect multiple departments across HISD. Job is frequently expected to recommend new solutions to problems, to improve existing methods/procedures/services and generate new ideas. May also review decisions made by other individuals on more routine matters.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Decisions have considerable impact to multiple divisions or the organization causing risks or improvements to relationships, significant efficiencies, or delays in operations, and/or significant financial gains or expenses. Errors are serious and difficult to discover, normally involve decisions not subject to detailed review and will result in excessive costs and/or significant project delays.
IMPACT OF DECISIONS
Collaborate and solve problems - work with others to resolve problems, clarify, or interpret complex information/policies, and provide initial screening/negotiations without approval authority. Interactions are typically with customers, senior level professional staff, and managers.

WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
