Job Description

Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Advance your career in medical imaging by utilizing your expertise in General Ultrasound. This contract position requires a dedicated professional to support patient care through high-quality sonographic services. Your diagnostic skills will play a crucial role at a respected healthcare facility where patient wellbeing is the top priority.
Key Qualifications:
Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS or equivalent) Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of general ultrasound, including abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging Minimum of one year of recent experience in a clinical ultrasound environment Strong interpersonal skills to effectively explain procedures and comfort patients Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary healthcare teams Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality, accurate general ultrasound exams adhering to physician orders Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure clear communication of diagnostic information Maintain comprehensive, timely patient records and imaging documentation Provide patient education before, during, and after imaging procedures to enhance their comfort and understanding Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
