Duties Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and identify suspicious behavior. Control access points by verifying identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Conduct routine patrols of the property to ensure safety, check for hazards, and prevent theft or vandalism. Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping. Provide assistance to visitors or staff by offering directions or information while maintaining a professional demeanor. Enforce security policies and procedures while managing conflicts calmly and effectively to de-escalate tense situations. Experience Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and experience with loss prevention techniques. Familiarity with conflict management strategies to resolve disputes peacefully. Ability to perform basic security procedures including patrolling, incident reporting, and emergency response coordination. Strong observational skills combined with the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
