Description of Role Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy seeks a passionate and innovative Chemistry and/or Physics teacher to serve students in the Upper School. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and ability to teach Upper School Chemistry and/or Physics, classroom experience and passion to bring these subject matter to life. Additionally, this role focuses on teaching Chemistry and/or Physics through integrated, hands-on, project-based learning that fosters curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The teacher will work closely with supervisors, colleagues, students, and families to deliver an excellent academic experience aligned with the school's mission and to create a collaborative, respectful learning environment. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in implementing curriculum, collaborating with colleagues on the implementation of the scientific method as it pertains to the Next Generation Science Standards, has experience being a classroom teacher, is an organized and thoughtful planner with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for supporting students throughout their academic journey. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging Chemistry and/or Physics lessons aligned with curriculum standards. Ability to teach Intro to Chemistry for 10th grade students and Intro to Physics for 11th/12th grade students.
