Job description UPS Store Manager Job Description Position Summary The Store Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day operations of The UPS Store. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, meeting sales goals, managing staff, and ensuring operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee daily store operations, ensuring compliance with UPS Store standards. Manage opening and closing procedures. Monitor and maintain inventory, supplies, and equipment. Ensure adherence to safety and security protocols. Customer Service Deliver high-quality service and resolve customer complaints professionally. Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure satisfaction. Promote a customer-first culture among employees. Sales & Business Growth Achieve sales targets and profitability goals. Upsell and cross-sell UPS services, printing, mailbox rentals, and other offerings. Implement local marketing initiatives and community engagement to grow the store's presence. Staff Management Hire, train, mentor, and supervise store associates. Create work schedules and manage labor costs effectively. Coach staff on sales techniques, customer service, and operational procedures. Conduct performance reviews and implement disciplinary actions if necessary. Financial Oversight Manage cash handling and bank deposits. Monitor and control operational expenses. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic office software (MS Office, Google Workspace). Preferred Experience with printing services, shipping, or retail business operations. Familiarity with small business services (notary, faxing, mailbox rental, etc.).
