Someone with good computer skills (excel, work, outlook) and excellent organizational and time management skills is preferred. The minimal amount of lab support can easily be taught. • Correspond with customers and the labs Production Coordinator about any issues with the samples.
  • Spend two to six hours performing data entry on the samples received.
  • Once samples are logged in, prepare media, enter barcode information into the LIMS and/or analyze gravimetric samples.
  • Receive consumable materials and chemical orders.
Any chemicals received will be entered into the chemical inventory system. They are sealed, unopened bottles of solvents, metals, etc. There is no exposure or handling at all and they will receive training. This likely will only happen a few times a week/month
Key Responsibilities:
  • Check chain of custody form for completion and accuracy for received samples. Complete sample data entry for all received samples daily. (~30-50%)
  • Receive and process emailed media orders; independently collect sampling equipment/accessories, pack in cooler/shipping container, and ship to clients. (~20-30%)
  • Wash and assemble air sampling media for industrial hygienists and external clients.
  • Maintain media inventory by entering tare weights and barcodes into the LIMS.
  • Weigh filter samples in strict accordance with quality control procedures.
  • Engage in written and verbal communication with clients to support media requests, respond to emails and sample log-in inquiries, providing professional and timely responses.
  • Support daily lab operations as needed.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, work both independently and in a team setting to fulfill responsibilities.
