Vac Truck Operator

Position Summary REI is seeking a vacuum-jetter truck operator to grow its team. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance cleaning work, including water blast cleaning various surfaces, jetting of sewer systems, and vacuuming industrial materials. The candidate will also operate hydrovac equipment to excavate and expose underground utilities.

What We're Looking For:

Must have a valid Class A or B CDL Clean driving record and safety minded Team player thriving in collaborative environment Minimum 2 years' experience in operating hydrovac equipment or related industrial experience preferred Ability to pass security clearance and pre-employment screening. High attention to detail Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours Willingness to travel up, if necessary Must be at least 21 years of age CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection and OSHA 10 certification (preferred) Physical ability to perform required tasks, i.e. ability to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds and have the physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions

Key Responsibilities:

Drive, operate, and maintain assigned vacuum truck Abide by DOT, OSHA, MOSHA, DeKalb County, and REI safety regulations Properly dispose of debris at approved locations Work in a team environment Complete daily vehicle inspection logs Report all damages and required preventive maintenance/service to the Project Manager.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years' experience operating a vacuum truck Valid CDL Class B or A License (Tanker Endorsement a plus) Clean driving record Strong map reading, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions (heat & cold)
