Varsity Wrestling Coach 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 501 East Highway Street, Vicksburg, MI 49097 Seasonal Vicksburg Community Schools 8 reviews Seasonal Job Posting Varsity Wrestling Coach Vicksburg High School May 23, 2026 Position Summary Vicksburg Community Schools is seeking to add an experienced Varsity Wrestling Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities • Serve as a positive role model to the players and parents Teach skills through effectively planned practices at a level appropriate for each member of the team Condition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility Responsible for all aspects of directing the team's practice and play in games. Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team Monitor player's personal conduct during games Manage equipment Effectively communicate with parents about expectations, schedules, etc. Performs related duties as required The above duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the nature of the work by this position. Qualifications • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred Effective verbal communication skills Ability to work well with 13-18-year-old student athletes Previous coaching experience at the high school level Previous playing experience at the high school or college level Willingness to learn and follow district and MHSAA rules and guidelines Concussion/CPR/AED training required Must pass background checks and comply with state and district requirements for working with students. Physical Requirements • Ability to run, walk, and move around school campuses, fields, and other facilities. May be required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel and squat for extended periods. May require an employee to lift and/or move heavy objects.
