Reports To:
The Fabrication Onsite Coordinator reports to the Senior Project Manager or Project Executive The Fabrication Onsite Manager leads the development of the strategy, process, coordination, and installation of fabricated products on projects. They will be the single point of contact and be accountable for VDC & Fabrication process for the on-site project team. This position will have direct involvement in the model development (routings/means and methods etc.), and coordinate with the project team in regard to specifications, scheduling, logistics, offsite storage requirements, procurement, and identifying deviations from the estimate with constant communication with project teams (Through weekly meetings with scope owners etc.).
Authority:
The Fabrication Onsite Coordinator is empowered to provide projectspecific design direction to planners, modelers, drafters, and fabrication involved with their project to ensure efficiency & constructability.
  • Qualifications
  • Key Job Functions:
  • + Coordinate the development of the fabrication plan.
οCoordinate with Regional Fabrication Manager to Identify all items that can be fabricated VDC & Non VDC οReview location of fabricated items (marked up on drawings) with field leadership. οAssure that the fabrication plan is executed correctly. + Coordinate with the project coordinator to develop the project fabrication schedule. οIncorporate all activities from PLD, VDC, fabrication, and delivery. οThe VDC & fabrication deliverables should follow the overall project schedule and flow of the project. οWork with the VDC scheduler to ensure the VDC Process is on schedule, and that the schedule is up to date. + Lead the development of the logistics plan. οEstablish delivery routes and times. οProvide an unloading plan.οEstablish the method of delivery to the installation site. οCoordinate with fabrication team on sequence of installation. + Own the processοCoordinate with the VDC and Fabrication teams to provide content for the Project Execution Meeting.οPresent the fabrication plan to the team during the Project Execution Meeting. οResponsible for the VDC and fabrication portion of the constraint log. οProvide feedback in the form of a weekly status report in ACC. Copies of the reports should be sent to the business unit President/Vice President/or Director/Project Team/VDC & Fabrication Team. + Lead on-site quality controlsοPerform pre-install field checksοVerify point files are up to date prior to point layout.οVerify package assemblies are packaged in correct order. οVerify Field team understands Fabrication Packages & shop drawingsοVerify fabricated items are being installed properly.οDocument issues for continuous improvement. + Coordinate closely with the Field Solutions team for deployment of Total Stations, Scanners, and OpenSpace tools and layout needs. + Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are followed as specified. + Oversee the project fabrication execution through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure the project is built following design, budget, and schedule. + Actively interface with the customer (project team) to validate expectations are understood and met before, during, and after project completion. + Offering innovative solutions to develop methods of procedures in sequence of operations. + Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills and competencies to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity. + Facilitate relationship between Miller field teams and VDC, Fabrication teams. + Attend VDC Kickoff Meetings, Weekly VDC Meetings, GC Coordination Meetings, Fabrication Production Meetings.

  • Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge:
  • + Working experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud + 3+ years of Field experience in the construction trade + Electrical construction experience + Basic knowledge of Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) applications and 3D design. + Experience with installation of Fabrication.
