Vegetation Technician

Job Overview B.W. Property Care is seeking hardworking and reliable individuals to join our team as Solar Field Maintenance Technicians. This role focuses on vegetation management at large-scale solar farms, ensuring sites remain compliant, safe, and operating efficiently. This is a hands-on, outdoor position ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, travel, and operating equipment. We travel the entire east coast and west coast. Key Responsibilities Perform mowing and vegetation management on utility-scale solar sites (20-800+ acres) Operate equipment such as zero-turn mowers, tractors, brush hogs, and handheld tools Maintain clean and safe work areas around solar panels and equipment Follow site maps, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines (SWPPP, etc.) Conduct basic equipment inspections and daily maintenance Work efficiently as part of a crew to meet production goals Travel to job sites across various states and stay overnight as required Qualifications Previous landscaping, farming, or equipment operation experience preferred (not required) Ability to operate or willingness to learn commercial mowing equipment Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license (preferred) Truck and trailer driving experience (preferred) Must be comfortable with frequent travel Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs Ability to walk long distances across uneven terrain Ability to work in heat, cold, and direct sun for extended periods Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Overtime opportunities Travel accommodations provided Opportunity for advancement within a rapidly growing solar O&M company Why Join Us Work on large-scale renewable energy projects across the country Be part of a fast-growing, specialized industry Gain experience with commercial equipment and solar operations Opportunity to grow into leadership roles
