Duties Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal restraint, medication administration, and basic procedures Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques for examinations, treatments, and laboratory procedures Support kennel management by cleaning, feeding, and caring for hospitalized or boarding animals Prepare animals for surgery or diagnostic tests by following aseptic techniques and ensuring proper positioning Maintain accurate records of animal treatments, medications, and laboratory results Support front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, patient check-ins, and client communication Assist with laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and basic testing procedures Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background preferred Experience working in a veterinary clinic or with veterinary technicians is highly desirable Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and pet care practices Ability to handle cats confidently and compassionately Skills in animal restraint, catheterization, and medication administration helpful Familiarity with aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures beneficial Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients Animal handling experience This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to expand their veterinary knowledge while contributing to the well-being of animals.
