Part-time (only Saturdays) Fullerton Pet Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the veterinarian during exams and procedures, including restraining animals, taking vitals, and preparing medical instruments. Perform basic medical tasks such as administering medications, collecting blood samples, and preparing lab tests. Take high-quality X-ray images. Prepare patients and surgical areas for procedures such as spays, neuters, wound repairs, and exploratory laparotomies. Monitor and maintain stable anesthesia during procedures. Assist with patient recovery following anesthesia. Greet clients, schedule appointments, and manage patient records using the clinic's system. Provide excellent customer service by answering client questions and addressing concerns. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring hygiene standards are met. Collaborate with and help other colleagues.

Qualifications:

Must be friendly, kind, and compassionate toward clients, patients, and coworkers. Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant (required) Proficient in safe and effective animal restraint techniques Skilled in blood collection (venipuncture) Experienced in IV catheter placement Proficient in performing dental prophylaxis Passion for animals and a dedication to their well-being. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Solid work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
