  • Full-time Job description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician Ridgecrest Animal Hospital is located within the picturesque community of Allentown, NJ.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist during procedures
  • Monitor anesthesia during surgeries
  • Take x-rays
  • Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care, treatment and prevention
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Clean and maintain equipment as well as work areas .
  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, physiology, anesthesia, surgery and care
  • Experience in dog handling, animal restraint, and veterinary terminology
  • Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Compassionate nature and genuine love for animals
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED preferred; 2+ years related experience in Veterinary Medicine, over the age of 18 WHAT

Job Type:
