• Full-time Ideally seeking a veterinary assistant or licensed veterinary technician to join our veterinary practice.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Bringing animals to the exam room and assisting the doctor. Handle basic care duties, including cleaning and dressing wounds, administering medications, collecting samples, and checking vitals. Assisting with diagnostic imaging and in-house labwork. Providing assistance to the doctor during surgeries and other procedures by sterilizing tools, stocking the exam and operating rooms, and confirming that equipment is all working properly. Monitoring patients under anesthesia.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Clinical skills and an understanding of animal behavior and healthcare. Passion for working with animals and their owners. Interpersonal communication skills to communicate with owners and other veterinary staff. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients. Able to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail in order to maintain accurate patient records. Knowledge of different animal medications. Willingness to take direction. Being comfortable with handling dogs and cats of all sizes. Physical ability to restrain larger pets when necessary.
