Introduction Our client is a hospital hiring a Veterinary Internist to join a specialty and emergency referral practice providing care to dogs and cats. The hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian with a strong background in internal medicine to deliver high-quality care within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. The position offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time options available. Role Description and Responsibilities The role focuses on advanced internal medicine, including conducting comprehensive patient exams, performing detailed medical work-ups, and managing complex cases. Responsibilities include client communication and education, maintaining accurate medical records, prescribing medications in line with protocols, and monitoring hospitalized cases while participating in daily rounds. The Internist will also collaborate closely with the wider clinical team and leadership to support hospital operations, promote teamwork, and uphold high clinical standards. This role is suited to experienced veterinarians. Practice Details Our client is an AAHA-accredited specialty and emergency referral center offering a collaborative and supportive environment. The hospital provides a range of specialty services alongside emergency care and is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory with Heska and Idexx machines, feline and canine endoscopy, four oxygen cages, and a dedicated emergency surgical suite. The practice supports high-quality medicine through strong collaboration between internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, and emergency services. The culture emphasizes teamwork, communication, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Specialty service hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Team The team consists of 6 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, including highly trained specialists and certified technicians.
