Veterinary Receptionist - Veterinary Experience 1 Year Minimum

Monroe Animal Care Hospital is seeking an experienced reliable, friendly, team oriented, and client-centric receptionist. The position is considered Full Time at approximately 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate is motivated professional with a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Must possess effective communication skills and intermediate computer literacy. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical. Minimum of 1-year Veterinary Reception experience is required. Wage commensurate with experience and existing knowledge of veterinary procedure and terminology. Other duties include but are not limited to the following: Manage multiple phone lines, direct and screen calls, and relay messages. Use software to schedule appointments for all clinic services. Provide accurate information to callers without providing medical advice. Promptly address all client concerns and remain polite and professional when interacting with clients over the phone, in person, and via text/email. Greet and interact with clients and pets in a friendly and welcoming manner. Maintain proper documentation with client/pet records. Basic math and accounting skills - ensure all client transactions are collected accurately and completely. Maintain hospital cleanliness in common areas of the office. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and cooperative working relationships with fellow staff members. Familiarity with veterinary/medical terms and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives is ideal. Basic knowledge of vaccines and common veterinary procedures is ideal.
