Position Overview:

Companion Animal Dental Services are seeking a compassionate and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team in Bolton, CT. The ideal candidate will have a passion for companion animal dentistry and drive for personal growth in a low volume high quality referral setting. We have a four-day work week with shifts being about 10 hours a day.

Key responsibilities include:

Performing oral exams, catheter placement, intubation, and anesthesia recovery. Dental radiography, oral photography, dental charting, dental scaling and polishing, and performing local blocks. We are willing to teach these skills. Collect samples for laboratory testing such as blood. Maintenance of the surgical suite, caring for surgical instruments, keeping materials stocked, assisting on controlled substance logs and general clinic orderliness. Leading by example with professionalism, communication, and patient advocacy.

Qualifications:

Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) is preferred but not mandatory. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a small animal veterinary setting. Proficient in anesthesia, dental radiographs, nursing skills, and client communication. Passionate about team training and delivering exceptional patient care.
