Job Description

Job Overview We are a unique veterinary clinic that offers a combination of both in clinic and house call appointments. This is a team approached facility. You will be expected to participate in mandatory staff Meetings and enjoy the fun and camaraderie that is unique to this office Candidate should have the typical technician skills, including but not limited to drying blood, placing catheters, running routine laboratory work. A clean driving record and background check is required. Responsibilities Assist veterinarian on house calls. Safe operation of company vehicle. Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing to ensure accurate diagnostics and effective treatments Conduct dental procedures. Skillful dog and cat handling techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Set up diagnostic equipment including X-ray machine, Ultrasound and laboratory equipment Excellent computer skills. Maintain detailed records of treatments, procedures, and patient progress while adhering to the high standards if this practice. Assist veterinarian with surgery and anesthesia monitoring Qualifications Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong background in animal handling, restraint, and anatomy knowledge. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, laboratory and imaging procedures such as X-ray annd ultrasound setup. Experience with dental terminology and procedures is highly desirable. Ability to perform animal catheterization and venipuncture Excellent communication and customer service skills House calls can be physically demanding so applicant should be able to consistently lift up to 50 pounds
Pay:
$19.00 - $28.00 per hour
