Job Description
About the RoleThe Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management at Purpose Home Health Parent is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire revenue cycle process to ensure financial health and sustainability. This role involves developing and implementing effective revenue cycle strategies that maximize cash flow, reduce days in accounts receivable, and improve overall operational efficiency. The VP will lead cross-functional teams to enhance billing, coding, collections, and compliance processes while maintaining strong relationships with payers and regulatory bodies. A key outcome of this role is to drive continuous improvement initiatives that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in supporting the organization's mission by securing the financial resources necessary to deliver high-quality home health services.
Job ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle including patient registration, billing, coding, claims submission, payment posting, and collections.
Develop and execute strategies to optimize revenue cycle performance metrics such as cash flow, denial rates, and days in accounts receivable.
Collaborate with clinical, compliance, and IT teams to ensure accurate documentation, coding compliance, and effective use of technology systems.
Monitor regulatory changes and payer policies to ensure ongoing compliance and adapt revenue cycle processes accordingly.
Provide leadership, training, and development opportunities to revenue cycle staff to foster a high-performing and accountable team environment.
Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Serve as a liaison with external partners including payers, auditors, and consultants to resolve complex billing and reimbursement issues.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field.
At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in revenue cycle management within the healthcare industry, preferably in home health or post-acute care settings.
Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, billing regulations, and compliance standards.
Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex projects with measurable results.
Strong analytical skills with experience using revenue cycle management software and financial reporting tools.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Certification such as Certified Revenue Cycle Executive (CRCE) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC).Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems and revenue cycle management platforms specific to home health care.
Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies relevant to home health services.
Demonstrated success in driving organizational change and process improvement initiatives.

Strong leadership and communication skills enable the VP to guide multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
