Vision Care Associate

Vision Care Associate Cumming, GA 30041 From $15 an hour - Full-time From $15 an hour - Full-time Currently seeking an optometric assistant, full time, 33-50 hours a week and must be able to work Saturdays.

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED.

On the job training provided. Official work attire of the position is blue scrubs. Applicants must have excellent customer service skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of optometric assistant include:

Greeting and screening patients Performing preliminary work-up including autorefractor/eye pressures/retinal screening Testing visual acuity and stereo vision Measuring previous glasses RX with lensometer Taking down medical history of patient Teaching and assisting with new contact wearer training Answering phones, scheduling appointments Verifying vision insurance prior to patient's arrival at clinic, this may include calling various insurance companies in order to obtain authorization Checking patients in for appointments, processing payment at the conclusion of patient visit Ordering trial contact lenses Maintaining cleanliness within the office, ensuring office supplies are fully stocked and office is organized/functional Answering any and all miscellaneous questions and/or concerns of patients when need arises Answering phones scheduling patients Starting wage is based on experience.
