Approx. 5-10 hours/month About Girlie Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on making menstrual and hormonal health education accessible, science-based, and normalized for the next generation of girls and women. Through our digital platform, educational resources, school partnerships, and community outreach initiatives, we aim to close the gap in comprehensive menstrual and hormonal health literacy. We are currently building the foundation of our advisory team and are seeking a passionate and experienced Education Policy & Government Relations Advisor to help guide long-term institutional strategy and educational implementation. Role Overview The Volunteer Education Policy & Government Relations Advisor will provide strategic guidance on navigating educational systems, public policy, and institutional partnerships as Girlie works toward expanding access to menstrual and hormonal health education for youth. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education reform, public health, women's health, youth advocacy, or curriculum accessibility. Responsibilities Advise on K-12 education policy and school system navigation Provide insight into state and national health education standards Help identify pathways for school partnerships and educational adoption Offer strategic guidance around government relations and public-sector collaboration Support long-term advocacy initiatives related to menstrual and hormonal health education Provide feedback on curriculum positioning and institutional alignment Assist in identifying opportunities for pilot programs, partnerships, and grants when applicable Ideal Background We welcome applicants with experience in areas such as: Education policy Government relations Public health policy School administration Curriculum implementation Legislative advocacy Youth health initiatives Department of Education experience Nonprofit or mission-driven consulting Experience in women's health, adolescent health, or educational equity is a plus, but not required.
