Job Description

Summary of Position:
The Sales Intern will work closely with our sales and business development team to support lead generation, client outreach, pipeline management, and market research activities. The Sales Intern will gain hands-on experience in a professional B2B sales environment and develop foundational skills in customer engagement, CRM tools, and solution selling - contributing directly to revenue-generating initiatives and customer relationship efforts.
Essential Functions:
Support the sales team with lead generation, prospecting, and outreach activities Research target accounts, industries, and contacts to identify new business opportunities Assist with preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and client-facing materials Maintain and update CRM records to ensure accurate pipeline tracking and reporting Participate in customer calls, meetings, and demos, taking notes and following up on action items Conduct competitive research and market analysis to support sales strategy Collaborate with marketing to align outreach campaigns with sales initiatives Assist in tracking and reporting on key sales metrics and performance indicators Support the coordination of trade shows, events, and customer engagement activities Attend team meetings and contribute to pipeline reviews and planning discussions Complete assigned tasks and projects in a timely and accurate manner

This position is based in a professional office setting and regularly utilizes workplace technology, including computers, smartphones, multifunction printers, cloud-based filing systems, and collaboration tools.
Physical Demands:
This role requires physical capabilities that support the successful execution of key responsibilities. The employee regularly engages in verbal and written communication with colleagues and clients to address project-related inquiries and must be able to convey accurate information clearly and efficiently. The position involves remaining seated at a workstation for approximately 75% of the time, with occasional movement throughout the office to access equipment, supplies, and shared resources. Daily tasks include consistent use of computers and standard office technology such as keyboards, printers, and multifunction devices. The role also involves transporting equipment boxes weighing up to 25 pounds within the building and to other offsite locations as needed for project support.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma Required Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. 0-2 years of experience
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a confident, professional presence Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook Calendar) Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) a plus Ability to gather, analyze, and present data in support of sales activities Solid judgment and decision-making skills Strong collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal capabilities Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and willingness to learn Understands confidentiality standards in a client-facing environment Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify solutions and evaluate options based on strengths and weaknesses
