Overview We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is vital to ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, materials handling, and shipping & receiving. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced distribution environment. Duties Assist with inventory management and control using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to safety standards (OSHA compliance) Prepare orders for shipping by picking, packing, and verifying items with precision Support warehouse distribution activities including stocking, order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and materials handling Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using AS400 or similar systems Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety protocols for heavy equipment operation Requirements Proven warehouse experience with knowledge of inventory management and stock control techniques Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with reach trucks, cranes, and heavy equipment is highly desirable Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 is preferred Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse operations Previous experience in manufacturing or construction environments is a plus Join us as a Warehouse Assistant and be part of a team dedicated to operational excellence! $19.00 - $27.63 per hour
