Warehouse Assistant Supervisor

Job Description - Warehouse Assistant Supervisor Basic Purpose- Warehouse Assistant Supervisor to help coordinate and supervise the activities involved with the warehouse department. The Assistant Supervisor will play a pivotal role working with production, quality control, shipping, and sales to ensure that the product is evaluated, selected, and loaded based on customer expectations and grade requirements. This role will report to the Warehouse Manager. The role will be backed up by the Warehouse Manager. Description Strategically supervises the warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols Ensure all personnel are working in a safe manner and comply with all safety regulations Maintains physical condition and optimization of warehouse by planning and implementing new designs based on SKU velocity and storage criteria. Inspects equipment; issuing work orders for repairs and/or replacement Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching and counseling while monitoring and appraising job results Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Set up and layout and ensures efficient space utilization Ability to work in a cold environment All other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Proven work experience as warehouse supervisor Expertise in warehouse supervision procedures and best practices Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases Leadership skills and ability to manage staff Strong decision making and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills Demonstrate leadership experience with a high-functioning, fast-paced team Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly while maintaining a high-priority to the safety of our workforce

Education/Training:

High school diploma or GED required Basic Reading, Writing and Math skills.

Related Experience/Requirements:

Minimum 3 yrs experience in food production or food warehouse environment preferred

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift up to 60 lbs.

Pay:

$75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
