Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse and storeroom operations within an industrial steel mill environment. The ideal candidate will assist with unloading trucks, receiving materials, inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining warehouse organization while following all safety procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail, basic computer knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment that may be noisy, dusty, and warm during summer months. Key Responsibilities Unload incoming trucks and receive warehouse materials accurately Inspect shipments for damages, shortages, and discrepancies Sort, label, stock, and organize inventory in designated storage areas Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment or delivery Load outbound trucks safely and securely Perform cycle counting and assist with inventory audits Enter inventory and shipment data into warehouse systems Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation Follow warehouse safety regulations and company procedures Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work environment Support customer service requests related to warehouse operations Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of warehouse, storeroom, shipping, receiving, or inventory experience Experience with loading, unloading, picking, packing, or material handling Ability to read and understand work orders, safety procedures, and operational instructions Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good communication and customer service abilities Ability to work independently and within a team environment Safety-focused mindset and willingness to follow procedures Ability to perform basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Preferred Qualifications Sit-down forklift experience preferred (training available if needed) Experience working in industrial or warehouse environments Familiarity with warehouse systems or inventory software is a plus Work Environment Position is located inside a steel mill environment Warehouse may be noisy, dusty, dirty, and warm during summer months Steel-toe shoes are required Hard hat and safety glasses will be provided
