Job Description
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse. This includes shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
Receiving and Processing Shipments:
Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices. Report any discrepancies or damages.Inventory Management:
Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations. Conduct regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies.Order Fulfillment:
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to order specifications, customer requirements and company standards. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of order fulfillment.Shipping:
Prepare and process shipping documents, labels, and other required paperwork. Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries. Assist in loading and unloading trucks while minimizing damage.Warehouse Maintenance:
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe. Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment and report any issues.Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Warehouse Manager.Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other warehouse staff and departments to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors/leads, and other departments.Quality Standards:
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures. Support continuous improvement efforts to optimize warehouse processes.Other Duties :
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.Requirements:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. State motor vehicle operator's permit for operation of forklift highly preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Basic computer skills for warehouse and inventory management and order processing. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as needed, especially during peak shipping periods.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Similar remote jobs
