Job Description

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient storage, handling, and distribution of crop protection products . This role involves managing inventory levels, coordinating shipments, and maintaining proper documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping. The Warehouse Coordinator ensures that warehouse operations comply with safety and quality standards, while collaborating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to support smooth operations.

Operations Manager Role Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of agricultural products, including crop protection products. Coordinate and monitor warehouse activities to ensure products are handled and stored properly according to company policies and safety standards. Ensure accurate labeling and organization of stock, maintaining a clean and well-organized warehouse environment. Assist in planning the layout and setup of the warehouse for optimal space utilization. Supervise loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring that all products are handled carefully to prevent damage or loss. Maintain and operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels of crop protection products, and other agricultural products to ensure adequate supplies are available to meet demand. Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy of warehouse records. Track and record incoming and outgoing shipments in the inventory management system, updating records as necessary. Communicate with suppliers to coordinate deliveries and manage stock replenishment. Assist in forecasting inventory needs based on seasonal demand and product trends.
Shipping and Receiving:
Coordinate the timely shipping and receiving of products, ensuring accurate documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping manifests. Work closely with logistics partners and carriers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any shipping-related issues. Prepare and process shipments for customers, ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Inspect all incoming and outgoing products for quality and accuracy, addressing any discrepancies or damages immediately.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with safety regulations, including the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials. Conduct regular safety inspections and training for warehouse staff, ensuring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols. Ensure that all products, are stored in conditions that maintain their quality and effectiveness. Maintain and update records for safety audits, inventory tracking, and regulatory compliance.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Provide direction and support to warehouse staff, including full-time and seasonal employees, to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations. Train and mentor warehouse workers on proper handling, safety procedures, and inventory management processes. Collaborate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders and resolve any issues with shipments or stock availability. Act as the point of contact between the warehouse and internal departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain preferred. 3-5 years of experience in warehouse coordination or management, preferably in the agricultural or related industry. Experience in handling agricultural products, including seeds and fertilizers, is highly desirable. Strong understanding of inventory management systems, warehouse operations, and shipping/receiving processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and inventory management software. Forklift certification and ability to safely operate warehouse equipment. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Job Expectations /
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. Ability to lift and move heavy products (up to 50 lbs.) and stand or walk for extended periods. May require overtime or weekend work during peak seasons or periods of high demand. Must follow safety protocols.
