Warehouse Manager

Job Summary Local, family-owned business in the food industry for over 30 years seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in product organization and daily warehouse activities. This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment planning and coordinating warehouse shift operations for a beverage warehouse, production and distribution facility; ensuring that quality, safety, and production requirements are met or exceeded. Experience in food service warehouse management, food safety handling knowledge and dedication is highly desired. Responsibilities Directly oversee daily shift operations, including selection, shipping, receiving, cross-docking, and trailer loading operations. Lead & manage Warehouse Supervisors in the efficient and safe operation of warehouse activities. Take immediate action to resolve any problems that could impact daily labor standards & timely completion of shift requirements. Monitor labor standards daily and take appropriate action to ensure standards are achieved. Conduct performance management activities, including annual performance appraisals and designing training and career development plans. Ensure that progressive coaching and counseling concepts are conducted according to established policies and procedures. Inventory management and precision Requirements Advanced proficiency in administrative functions with strong written and verbal communication skills Competency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Sensitivity and judgment to handle and maintain confidential information Human Resources knowledge, environmental, health and safety knowledge and OSHA knowledge Great interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage a variety of duties requiring diverse skills, often under tight deadlines with little advance notice Must demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Effective problem-solving ability Active listening skills Effective oral/written communication skills Positive, approachable demeanor Previous experience in perishable warehouse or a related field is required. $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
