Warehouse Operations Manager

Merit Logistics is looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager in Batavia, IL . This position will be responsible for the overall management of warehouse operations. Including overseeing associate activities to maintain efficient daily operation of the customers site.

Minimum Qualifications:

Prior experience managing a team of 30+ associates Strong client relations skills The ability to manage a 7 days per week operation. The ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Strong oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills including all Microsoft programs 4+ years of management experience Prior experience with Warehouse Management (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

Overseeing all warehouse operations. Ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of site operations. Report in weekly meetings on overtime, timekeeping including attendance and lunch punches, scheduling, hiring and terminations, recruitment and retention, IT Issues, and any client problems that the Operations Director needs to be aware of. Perform all personnel management functions for Site Associates including hiring, scheduling, timesheet review, performance management, staff development, discipline, and termination. Answer inquiries on types of services offered, rates, schedules, payment procedures etc. Resolve client issues and communicate consistently with the customer to maintain a good relationship. Schedule associates properly to avoid overtime and keep shifts manned with proper numbers for business needs. Assisting in the development and implementation of warehouse operations and procedures. Ensuring that warehouse space is kept clean, neat, and free of debris. Ensuring that all warehouse vehicles are kept in good working order. Providing assistance to the Warehouse Supervisor with any equipment or equipment needs.
