Warehouse Shipping Associate

Job Summary Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Cold Storage Shipping Associate, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of product within our cold storage facility. This energetic position involves handling shipping imports and exports inventory stocking in a cold room environment. Responsibilities Check in an order using a packing list provided by the Shipping Manager. This entails verifying case counts, descriptions, establishment numbers, pack sizes, country of origin and documenting production and expiry dates found on the label Services applies. Build up pallets for shipment. Including wrapping them, weighing them, applying the appropriate flag, and doing a load plan. Complete shipping departments cleaning daily, which includes cleaning the shipping dock, freezer, out-door and on occasion the chiller. Utilize a tablet to document loads as they are loaded. Utilize a sit-down forklift to pull product from 4 deep drive in racks and to load trucks. Assist with unloading and loading containers for the Imports Division. Actively participate in food safety training, surveys and regulatory responsibilities including audits and corrective action plans. Identify, report and document potential contamination risks such as temperature abuse, improper handling, equipment failure, labeling concerns, sanitation failures, deviations from regulatory requirements. Identify, document and report non-conformities during daily walkthroughs. Participate in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), sanitation SOP's, and maintain a high-performance food safety culture. This includes reporting concerns to their immediate supervisor or a member of management without fear of retaliation. Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load, unload, and transport goods throughout the warehouse Prepare shipments by picking, packing, and verifying orders with precision using order picking techniques and basic math skills Prior warehouse experience is required, especially in shipping & receiving or order fulfillment roles Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, or similar equipment is essential; certification is a plus Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms enhances efficiency Knowledge of e-commerce logistics processes including picking & packing for online orders Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads, load & unload trucks, and standing for extended periods Join us to be part of a vibrant team that values safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
