Warehouse Worker Forklift Operator

Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Worker Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our efficient distribution operation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment, including sit down forklift and pallet jacks, to load, unload, and transport materials. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth order picking, shipping, and receiving processes. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments efficiently. Perform order picking using various equipment including pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately. Manage warehouse distribution tasks by organizing materials and ensuring proper storage using warehouse management systems. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with OSHA standards. Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to minimize downtime. Support warehouse supervision by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting and materials handling. Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels within the warehouse management system. Experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or similar machinery in a warehouse or distribution setting. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. Mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for equipment maintenance is a plus. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or materials handling is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during order fulfillment.
