Waste Coordinator 1493184 Hourly pay: $35/hr
Worksite:
Leading university (Stanford, CA 94305 - Onsite) W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL 24 hours/week, 3-4 Month Assignment A leading university is seeking a Waste Coordinator to support waste operations and sustainability initiatives across campus properties. This role focuses on maintaining waste enclosures, ensuring proper waste diversion, and supporting environmental programs.
Waste Coordinator Responsibilities:
Support waste operations across multiple properties, ensuring waste areas are maintained and operational needs are addressed, including overflow and bulky item management. Ensure proper waste diversion by monitoring landfill, recycling, and compost bins and correcting sorting issues within waste enclosures. Break down boxes and remove contamination such as e-waste, hazardous materials, and bulky items to maintain compliance with sustainability standards. Post and maintain signage in waste enclosures to promote correct waste disposal practices and support sustainability initiatives. Perform general support tasks and additional duties as assigned to meet operational and environmental program goals.
Waste Coordinator Qualifications:
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, sorting, and handling waste materials. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions related to waste sorting and safety procedures. Ability to work weekends and maintain consistent attendance for scheduled shifts. Valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Shift:
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. (H)
