Job Description :

Waste Water Operator will be responsible for ensuring proper operation of the wastewater plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plant operations, water testing, data recording, and computer skills
• Operator will be alert to conditions at all times
• Record operations in log and communicate with supervisor and others for operations
• Be flexible on working hours and adaptable to changes if needed for plant operations
• New hires will have to demonstrate the ability and desire to obtain a state certification

Qualifications:

• Communicate effectively, oral and written
• Mathematical skills
• Understand safety rules and instruction
• Capable of lifting or carrying 50 lbs
• Walking up and down stairs
• Working in confined areas
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Handling potentially hazardous water treatment and laboratory chemicals
• Minimum exposure to inclement weather
• Be able to get PIT and Yard Truck
• Must have a valid driver license to operate company vehicles
• Must be certified in water or wastewater or ability to obtain certification
