Wastewater Operator

Duties Conduct routine inspections of equipment, including pumps, and operations of a Lagoon wastewater pond. Perform basic plumbing tasks and mechanical repairs on treatment plant equipment to maintain continuous operation. Maintenance on Sewer Lift Stations. Also monitor a SCADA system on a computer or IPad. Maintain gravity sewer mains and force mains. Assist with construction or upgrade projects by supporting installation, troubleshooting, or system upgrades involving mechanical or electrical components. Also at times might have to assist water department with issues that might arise. Skills Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment used in wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations. Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes. Basic knowledge of computer skills
