Job Description:

We are hiring for a Wastewater Supervisor - 2nd Shift position in Sioux City, Iowa.

Position Summary:

The Wastewater Supervisor oversees the operation of a 32-million-gallon wastewater treatment facility within a food manufacturing plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and legally compliant wastewater treatment processes. This role is responsible for wastewater operations, regulatory and environmental compliance, production efficiency, and safety performance, while leading and developing the operations team. The supervisor also collaborates closely with plant operations and support departments to maintain reliable facility performance and continuous improvement.

Shift Schedule:

4 days on / 3 days off rotating schedule Rotation changes every 4 months between: (Sunday-Wednesday), (Thursday-Sunday)

Shift Hours:

7:00 PM - 7:30

AM Compensation:

Base salary + 10% bonus potential

Relocation Package:

30-day hotel accommodation provided Airfare and hotel covered for interview process Relocation assistance included Relocation bonus typically around 10% of offered salary

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred OR 8+ years of relevant manufacturing experience Strong experience in wastewater treatment and wastewater processing Supervisory and leadership experience in manufacturing or food production environments Strong team management and employee development skills Knowledge and experience managing compliance with EPA, OSHA, and environmental regulations Experience working in wastewater operations within industrial or food manufacturing facilities Rendering industry experience is a plus Protein industry experience preferred Knowledge of boilers, cooling systems, and related utility operations preferred Wastewater Operator Certification preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant certifications are a plus The company is looking for someone with strong leadership skills who can manage operational challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
