Water Plant Operator

Duties Operate and control water treatment and processing equipment using SCADA. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems, plumbing, pumps, valves, and heavy equipment to identify maintenance needs or repairs. Perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan. Collect and analyze data related to water quality parameters, flow rates, chemical levels, and system performance for reporting and process adjustments. Manage heavy lifting tasks involving equipment parts or materials necessary for plant operations or construction projects. Operate heavy machinery safely during plant construction, expansion, or maintenance activities. Monitor water treatment processes, including chemical dosing and filtration, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Maintain detailed records of operational activities, maintenance logs, and data collection reports for regulatory audits. Assist in tankers' loading/unloading operations for water distribution or waste removal as needed. Experience Prior experience operating water treatment facilities is highly desirable but not necessary. Basic math skills for calculations related to chemical dosages, flow rates, and system measurements. Analysis skills to interpret data collected from various sensors and control systems for process optimization. Knowledge of plumbing systems and safety protocols within industrial settings a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts. Pay:

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
