Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Water Plant Operator / Houseman to join our team at the hotel's water treatment facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of water and wastewater treatment systems, maintaining equipment, and supporting overall plant functions. Your proactive approach will help guarantee the delivery of clean, safe water to our guests and staff while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about mechanical systems, water treatment processes, and facility maintenance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic hospitality environment. In addition able to perform mantenance for hotel. Responsibilities Operate and monitor programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to regulate water treatment processes. Perform routine equipment repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, filters, and heavy machinery involved in water and wastewater treatment. Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, chemical levels, and system performance to ensure compliance with safety standards. Manage heavy equipment operation including tanks, pumps, and construction tools necessary for plant upkeep or upgrades. Conduct plumbing repairs and troubleshoot issues within the water treatment facility to maintain continuous operation. Assist with waste management by overseeing wastewater treatment processes and ensuring environmental compliance. Engage in basic math calculations for chemical dosing, flow measurements, and system calibrations while maintaining detailed records of operations and maintenance activities. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair, plumbing, or heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used in water treatment plants. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data related to water quality and system performance. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine maintenance or construction tasks. Basic math skills necessary for chemical calculations, measurements, and data collection. Prior experience in wastewater treatment or water treatment facilities is preferred but not required.
