Job Description
Position Title:
Water Regulator Non-Exempt Reports To:
Production Supervisor Position Summary The Water Regulator is responsible for maintaining proper water levels, temperatures, and cleanliness on the wash lines and chillers under the direction of the Production Manager and/or Production Supervisor. This position ensures efficient operations, food safety compliance, and product quality throughout the washing process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain proper water levels and temperatures (32°F-40°F) throughout wash lines and chillers.
- Monitor water systems every 10 minutes to ensure correct flow and efficiency.
- Adjust water valves and flow as needed to maintain optimal washing conditions.
- Implement prompt changes when production blends or product types are adjusted.
- Minimize product waste and control spill points throughout the line.
- Report equipment issues (valves, chillers, motors, or other components) immediately to Maintenance or Supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of wash lines and surrounding areas.
- Follow all GMPs, SOPs, and Food Safety regulations always.
- Promote and follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Immediately report any issues affecting product quality, safety, or food safety.
- Monitor optical sorter settings for individual products/ Optical sorter calibration
- Other duties as required Qualifications
- Must have strong teamwork and communication skills and maintain consistent reliability and punctual attendance.
- Must have strong reading and writing skills to understand and complete work-related documents and communications.
- Must be able to read and understand work orders, safety instructions, and reports, and use basic computer systems or tablets to record and track information.
- Experience working with wash lines, chillers, or water systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail to monitor water levels, temperatures, and product flow.
- Ability to multitask and remain focused in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills for tracking water temperatures and product Physical and Skill requirements
- Perform repetitive motions throughout shift such as push/pull/lift, bend continuously throughout the shift
- Flexibility to work 6 consecutive days, overtime and weekends if necessary
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly
- Ability to manage time effectively and stay on task with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in wet, cold, and noisy environments
- Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
