Job Summary Borough of Surf City is seeking a Water Utility Operator.

JOB SUMMARY

This position assists in coordinating and supervising assigned functions of the Water System.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists the Water Utility Superintendent with the daily management of department operations by planning, coordinating, and supervising assigned functions of the department. Assists the Superintendent in ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal water quality regulations; prepares periodic reports as required and signs/submits submissions in the absence of the Superintendent. Oversees treatment plant operations. Gives technical advice and assistance to co-workers and subordinates as needed. Inspects equipment for proper and safe working condition; coordinates the timely maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK

Pay:

$21.00 - $31.24 per hour
