Watercraft Operator (Jet Ski & Pontoon Boats)

Role Overview We're hiring experienced watercraft operators to serve as boat captains and jet ski guides for private rentals and themed lake events. You will be responsible for safely operating boats and jet skis, guiding guests, assisting with event setup, and ensuring customers have an incredible experience. Responsibilities Safely operate pontoon boats and jet skis during rentals and events Guide jet ski groups and monitor safety zones Assist with docking, launching, and loading/unloading passengers Provide safety briefings and enforce water rules Support Wavesandy events (R&B on the Lake, group bookings, etc.) Help with basic setup/cleanup for lake events Maintain professional, high-energy customer service Requirements (Important) You MUST have experience operating at least one of the following: Pontoon boats Speed boats Jet skis /

PWCs Preferred Qualifications:

Boater Education Card (NC or equivalent) Prior experience as a boat captain, marina staff, or water guide Experience towing trailers/boats (truck ownership is a plus) Strong communication and customer service skills Additional Requirements Must be comfortable working in water environments Must be able to work weekends & holidays (peak season) Must be reliable and punctual Must be willing to obtain a Boater Safety Certification if not already licensed Compensation Hourly pay based on experience ($20-$25/hr) Depending on experience and what we hire you for Tips from guests Event bonuses for large group bookings Opportunity for repeat seasonal work and leadership roles Ideal Candidate Confident operating boats or jet skis Enjoys music, events, and social environments High energy + safety-minded Team player with strong people skills
