Weigh Up Technician Light Industrial Woods Cross , UT temp to hire May 20, 2026
Job Summary:
The Batch Weigh Technician is responsible for accurately weighing, staging, documenting, and verifying raw materials used in the manufacturing of Vitapur Labs products. This position plays a critical role in ensuring batch accuracy, traceability, compliance with cGMP requirements, and efficient production operations. The technician must maintain strict attention to detail while following Master Manufacturing Records (MMRs), SOPs, and quality standards. Basic Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1+ year experience in food, supplement, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments preferred Basic math and measurement skills Ability to accurately read formulas, batch sheets, and weighing instructions Ability to lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Basic computer literacy and ability to complete production documentation cGMP experience preferred Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus Essential Duties and Responsibilities Raw Material Weighing & Staging Accurately weigh raw ingredients according to approved batch records and formulations. Verify ingredient identity, lot numbers, and quantities prior to weighing. Stage weighed materials for production in an organized and timely manner. Ensure all materials are properly labeled and identified during the weighing process. Maintain segregation of materials to prevent cross-contamination or mix-ups. Documentation & Compliance Complete all weighing logs, batch records, and inventory documentation accurately and legibly. Record lot numbers, expiration dates, and quantities used in production batches. Follow all cGMP, SOP, food safety, and quality procedures. Assist with material reconciliation and inventory verification. Report discrepancies, damaged materials, or deviations immediately to supervision. Equipment & Work Area Operate scales and weighing equipment according to calibration and verification procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the weighing and staging areas. Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of weighing equipment and utensils. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly prior to use. Team & Safety Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements. Work closely with production, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure efficient batch preparation. Assist with inventory rotation using
FIFO/FEFO
procedures. Support production operations as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of basic manufacturing and weighing procedures Ability to follow written instructions and formulas precisely Strong accuracy and consistency in repetitive tasks Ability to identify and prevent documentation or material errors Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary formulations Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive motion Ability to work in warm manufacturing environments Ability to safely handle powders, liquids, and raw ingredients Working Conditions Manufacturing and warehouse environment Exposure to food-grade powders, ingredients, and cleaning chemicals Use of PPE including gloves, hairnets, beard nets, and safety glasses as required Performance Expectations Maintain high weighing accuracy and documentation compliance Minimize material waste and weighing deviations Maintain production readiness and efficient batch staging Follow all food safety and cGMP requirements consistently Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
